I remember back in 2004 when Google IPO made
the headline. I was studying my MBA back
then and we discussed how much of a crazy valuation it was (they raised $1.9bn
US). Now they are talking about Facebook
IPO being a $10bn US. Is this realistic
in today’s economic turmoil? Wouldn’t
you like to be the underwriter for this transaction --- if it brings out as
much as its speculations?
To me all this hype seems to be on target
showing what globalization has brought to the table in terms of scope within a
company. The dynamics have changed –
global growth is there to stay… and local sustainable markets the new era in
our business world.
